I have the privilege

I have the privilege to school out of state. I have the privilege to pursue a higher education. I have to privilege to not have to work to live. I have the privilege to have this creative outlet.

I recently came up with the idea for this blog post while in class, our semester long project is to create a research proposal on the topic of our choice. I enjoy the class; my professor is very knowledgeable. I was reflecting on my schedule this semester. This is the first semester where I truly feel pulled in multiple different directions. All of my attention is not on my entry level research methods class (I think my professor may forget that).

I recently have had some very fun activities. I went to dinner with my good friend Haley Slate and we had some great conversation over some Lychee Martinis. I went on my friends radio show, the hot seat, and it was very fun. My parents visited for a long time. I miss my friend Mack. My friends from home just visited!

I’ve been feeling pulled to revel in the fun things. I really am just looking forward to going abroad. I don’t have much desire in my full 17 credit schedule.

My friends from home asked me if I ever get homesick. As I enter my third year, I feel that I can finally say no. Although, I have gone home in the fall for the past two years that now it reaches fall, and I am conditioned to think it is time to come home. I have built a life here that I am so privileged to have. When I reflect on my college experience so far, I would not trade it for the world. I am so grateful that I have gleaned this much life from those around me. Although I am so privileged to earn two degrees from this lovely institution, I cannot emphasize enough that my personal growth and lifelong friendships are what have defined my college years thus far.

Moral of the story is I just like to hangout and chat with my friends :)
